wake up calls

i had my usual wake up call today - ken. he usually is the first one to call in the late morning when we both get up. he even says 'good morning' at 1 p.m. sometimes i call him if i wake up first and he says 'good morning.' in any case, we are usually each other's first phone calls of the day. 90% of the time it's business. today it was just a personal update while he was in te car Christmas shopping.
yesterday he called wen i was in the middle of writing. i was a little distracted. he laughed a little and said 'i like it when you write, you get into your little zone. i think it's cute.'
