after some serious 'why' questions from tom on wed. night at brendan's place, as to WHY i have not yet listened to 'hail to the thief' by radiohead, i seriusly had to ask myself that question.
'ok, computer' ranks up there with dark side of the moon by floyd, in my life. why the hell have i been putting off getting the thief?
well, i don't buy a lot of cd because of fundage. i just bought the white stripes 'elephant' about a month ago. i usually alow ne cd every month or so as misc. expenses.
it's not july yet, yet i've bought two.
i can't even write anything original right now. haven't been since i've been listening to the thief, and thinking about our days in this time.
i can see neon7c listening to cat power and probably getting the same idea. neon, i'm not sure if you are into radiohead or not, but please try and give hail to the thief a shot.
as of the rest of you. you won't be sorry,,,, well,,, maybe sorry for a lot of people after listening to this, but not yourself.
Go to sleep - (little man being erased) by radiohead
"something for the rag and bone man
over my dead body
something big is gonna happen
over my dead body
someone's sone or somone's dayghter
over my dead body
this is how i end up geting sucked in
over my dead body ...
we don't want to wake the monster
tiptoe round time him down
we don't want the loonies taking over
tiptore round tie them down...."
the white stipes have kicked ass on 4 tight albums,,,
lots of good poetics, too ('the hardest button to button')
but,,, radiohead is still as epic and as glorious as OK and DARK side of the moon by floyd.
i can't even write anything original right now. haven't been since i've been listening to the thief, and thinking about our days in this time.
