Dear Charlene:
You have taken first place in the Feature Poets Contest of the Say What
Young
Poets and Songwriters Expo at the 2003 Hessler Street Fair.
Please come to the ��Say What!? table in Harmony Park in the open lot
near
the corner of Bellflower Road and Hessler Court (which has wood block
pavement). The earlier you arrive, the easier it is to find a parking
place
relatively close to the Fair.
The contest starts a few minutes after 2 p.m. Please arrive by 2 p.m.
and look
for me (Lee Batdorff, in glasses and grey hair). You will receive an
opportunity
to do your material at about 2:45 p.m. or so. You will be given your
prize
purchase certificates after you've completed reading your poetry. You
may
have the opportunity to read all four of your poems. They are most
suitable for
this crowd.
We need to work out a time for you to read your poetry on WRUW FM. The
choices are 12:30 p.m. and 5:10 p.m. There may be other options if
these are
inconvenient. Please let me know as soon as possible about your
availability to
read over WRUW FM.
