hey - i updated my photos - FINALLY. a lot of the pics are from the gallery openings and the live performances. i will be working on a cast list soon to weed everyone out. for now - you can see my friend dan - the one who asked me out, but we have opposing views on some things. he's the 'waiter' in the yellow tie. he's also the sculptor who did the orange braille wall
there's also the photographer i asked out two weeks ago - and then i slept over - you remember that story a few entries back? yes - he is the cute one in the cool cap.
on a different note - wait - let me stop drooling over dan and the cap man ...
grandma has to have eye surgery. immediately. the doc said on friday that not only does she have bad cataracts, but she has bleeding behind one eye - due to diabetes - and it is causing her to go blind.
she didn't say anything about her vision until last week. but, since christmas, when the family was playing Uno - we noticed that she couldn't tell the difference between blue and green. we thought she's just getting old. she told my mom last week that she can only see 'half' out of one of her eyes. she bought 2 new desk clocks that she keeps right next to her from home shopping club or one of her catalogs
i feel so bad for her - she is so scared. mom is worried, too. plus, mom still hasn't gotten her lab results back yet from her blood work last week when she was sick.
again, i find myself being selfish again. it's challenging enough to care for and live with an elderly obese person in a wheelchair. how am i going to care for a 400 pound senior citizen who is blind?
